Why this school is the right choice for a military member and/or their family
Since 1942, the University of Oklahoma has partnered with the Department of Defense to provide educational degree programs and opportunities for the military. Ranging from a Ph.D., seven master's degrees, an online undergraduate degree and a high school diploma, OU brings its faculty to military bases around the world. This unique program delivery has been internationally recognized for the "seamlessness and transparency" of delivering the true OU campus experience and degree to military service members and their dependants.

OU is part of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOCAD, SOCNAV, SOCCOAST) and has been selected to participate in the following programs; the Navy College Program Distance Learning Program (NCPDLP); the Navy College program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE); Go Army Education (GAE); and the U.S. Air Force Air University--Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative program (AU-ABC).

Every department offering military programs has staff personnel with military experience advising military students and who are very aware of the unique situation of the military member.

Our programs offer OU faculty face to face at 24 base locations around the world and through online programs. For the convenience of the military student, numerous course formats are provided (accelerated 10 day, 90 day, 8 week and semester terms).

The University of Oklahoma is committed to providing the highest quality education programs to service members on bases and deployed around the world.
