The mission of the Foundation is to support development of engineers and technical personnel through selective motivational awards, prizes and scholarships, grants for educational activities of unique and high value and professional educational programs. AFCEA Educational Foundation	AMVETS annually awards scholarships to veterans, their sons, daughters or grandchildren. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased veteran is also eligible. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, the scholarships go to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education. The Army College Fund (ACF) is an enlistment incentive option designed to aid in the recruitment of highly qualified Soldiers for critical or shortage Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). The ACF supplements the basic Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) entitlement. Since 1942, the University of Oklahoma has partnered with the Department of Defense to provide educational degree programs and opportunities for the military. Ranging from a Ph.D., seven master's degrees, an online undergraduate degree and a high school diploma, OU brings its faculty to military bases around the world. OU is part of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOCAD, SOCNAV, SOCCOAST) and has been selected to participate in the following programs; the Navy College Program Distance Learning Program (NCPDLP); the Navy College program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE); Go Army Education (GAE); and the U.S. Air Force Air University--Associate to Baccalaureate Cooperative program (AU-ABC).

Every department offering military programs has staff personnel with military experience advising military students and who are very aware of the unique situation of the military member.

Our programs offer OU faculty face to face at 24 base locations around the world and through online programs. For the convenience of the military student, numerous course formats are provided (accelerated 10 day, 90 day, 8 week and semester terms).
