    • The University of Tampa is a private, residential university located on a beautiful riverfront campus in downtown Tampa. Known for academic excellence, personal attention and real-world experience, UT serves over 6,200 students from 50 states and nearly 100 countries.

    UT offers exceptional opportunities to new cadets, Green-to-Gold enlistees, and career transitioners. The University covers up to 100 percent of tuition and fees for veterans eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon program. With more than 120 academic areas of study, UT offers generous transfer credit policy for military students, including credit for prior military service, and correspondence and online courses. UT also has a VA-certifying official on-site. In addition, UT proudly serves nearby MacDill Air Force base, home to 53 Mission Partners, including United States Central Command and United States Special Operations Command.

    In addition, UT’s Army ROTC program is ranked among the highest in the nation. UT is the only non-military college with multiple Raytheon Award winners, awarded to two cadets by the secretary of the Army in 1996 and 2005. Twenty-five percent of the program’s 2008 commissioned graduates achieved the Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG) award from Warrior Forge. DMG includes the top 20 percent of all cadets in the nation and is the highest achievement cadets can earn in Army ROTC after the Raytheon Award. The program had the highest DMG selection rate in all of Cadet Command for 2007.
