Higher Education: School Profile

UB Freshman Experience:

Submit an admission application along with:
-$30 application fee
-Official high school transcript
-Official SAT or ACT scores

If applicant has been out of school for more than 3 years, please submit the following with your application:
-Resume and/or portfolio or university placement testing
-Official high school transcripts
-$30 application fee

Adult First (Part-time evening program):
Applicants, out of high school for more than 3 years, should have demonstrated experience in the workplace and must submit an admission application along with:
-Resume and/or portfolio or university placement testing
-Official high school transcripts
-Application fee
Applicants who have been out of high school for less than 3 years will be evaluated for admission to the Adult First program on a case-by-case basis and as space in the program permits

Transfer:

Admission as a degree-seeking transfer student is open to students who have completed a minimum of 24 transferable college credits with a cumulative 2.0 grade point average. (Students with fewer than 24 tansferrable credits are freshman at UB).
Some academic programs have additional admission requirements.

Applicants should:
-Submit an undergraduate application
-Pay the application fee
-Send one official college transcript from all colleges previously attended to the Office of Transfer Admission. Electronic versions of official transcripts from colleges are encouraged.

1. UB majors are practical and relevant. Distinctive majors like Simulation and Digital Entertainment, Real Estate and Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Health Systems Management will prepare you for the global economy, while traditional programs like English, history, psychology, accounting and marketing will teach you the skills needed to compete in a variety of fields.
2. UB's early entry law program places students in law school after only three years of undergraduate study. UBs accelerated undergraduate to graduate programs help you gain credit toward graduate degrees while still an undergraduate and help you earn both your undergraduate and graduate degrees in fewer years with the convenience of UB’s schedule.
3. UB’s career focused education includes internships, career services, hands on learning, small class sizes, and experienced faculty. You won’t be taught by graduate assistants or teaching assistants, but rather by faculty who work in or do research in the field. In the end, you’ll have an educational experience that prepares you for a job in your profession.
4. UB’s flexible class schedule allows you to take classes during the day, at night, or online. Some programs are offered on the weekends, and in satellite locations. You set your schedule based on what works for you.
5. UB’s midtown Baltimore location is conveniently located in the middle of everything: the Inner Harbor, Penn Station, Arts, culture, restaurants, it’s all right here!
