Campground reopens after chiefs’ cleanup
Seventeen members of the Chief Petty Officers Association volunteered their time and labor, May 10, cleaning up the campground at Paradise Grove, allowing the naval air station to reopen the long-neglected site for use.
"The campground at Paradise Grove has been with us for quite some time," explained Frank Pace, outdoor recreation director, "but over the years, due to budget constraints, storms and hurricanes, it fell into disarray."
